We offer two main types of electrical survey. Upon survey completion, the customer will receive a report depending on the type requested. The reports are as follows:

        The NICEIC Domestic Periodic Inspection Report

The Periodic Inspection Report is the only report on the fixed electrics that can confirm electrical safety within a dwelling. The NICEIC Domestic Periodic Inspection Report does not include checks on any equipment with a 3 pin plug attached (portable appliances).

The NICEIC Domestic periodic inspection report identifies and details problems according to a numbered scale from 1 to 4:

1. Requires urgent attention

2. Requires improvement

3. Requires further investigation

4. Does not comply with BS7671

The NICEIC Domestic Visual Condition Report

The NICEIC domestic visual condition report can only report on the fixed electrics that can be physically seen within a dwelling, for example, condition of the socket outlets, lighting pendants etc. The visual survey does not include checks on any equipment with a 3 pin plug attached (portable appliances).

The completed Niceic domestic visual condition report cannot be used to confirm and does not state complete electrical safety within a dwelling.

Why then use?

Many customers use the report to gain a general view of the current visual state of the electrics within a dwelling.
